Maypole FC and Nike are pleased to announce a three-year agreement that will make Nike the exclusive kit and training wear supplier for Maypole.

We are the first Community Club in Birmingham and only one of 125 clubs across the country selected to be part of this exclusive ‘Nike Partner Club' group.

Ben Harding of Nike UK stated, "We are delighted to be at the start of a relationship with Maypole FC, furthermore the support that Nike can provide to the club will help to improve and develop the clubs’ coaches for the benefit of players and the local community and also support the future plans of the football club."

Under the deal, all our teams at every age group will be kitted out in the same Nike home and away strips over the next 3 years.
The club will receive a bursary for volunteers from each team to be put through courses leading to coaching qualifications for Level 1 and 2 Youth Modules as well as 1,2,3 and B License Courses, child safeguarding and first aid awareness.

Other benefits will include a dedicated online club web shop to buy club branded Nike product and the opportunity for clubs to see next year’s ranges before anyone else.

Being a Nike Partner Club will also mean that we will have the chance to attend Community Club days at St George’s Park where coaching seminars and club management workshops will be held, as well as the opportunity to see special FA guests.

Opportunities to win and be presented with free tickets to England Internationals and Premier League games plus visits from England Legends and Nike Contracted Professional Players to our club.

The initiative serves to raise standards at the grassroots level, something that Darren Bent is particularly passionate about: “I think as a country we’re doing a great job with grassroots level coaching, but there’s always room for improvement.

“It’s so important for kids in particular to enjoy their football, and the better level of coaching they receive, the more likely that is to happen.

“The Nike Partner Club Initiative provides a great opportunity for teams to develop and grow with the support of Nike and The FA to ensure that we continue to advance as a footballing nation.”
