F.A. Charter
Maypole F.C. achieved F.A. Charter Standard in September 2005 after achieving standards set by the F.A. that represent best practice for coaching, administration and child protection for clubs working with young people.
To be recognised in such a way by the F.A. is a considerable achievement for all that have been involved in gaining the Charter for the club and for all the managers who have attained F.A Level 1 & 2 badges.
The Charter Club project is aimed at helping children and parents find a club in their local area that meets F.A. standards.
On a practical level Charter Status means all Level 1 coaches have basic first aid knowledge and child protection certificates.
As well as providing a benchmark for quality, the F.A. Charter now opens the door for other opportunities within the club.
The next step for us is to achieve F.A. Community Club status, which builds upon the foundations of the Charter Standard scheme. This can mean funding opportunities and opportunities for a greater participation in events, such as the ability to acquire tickets for youth and women's international matches.
One of the goals of the F. A. Community Club scheme is to provide opportunities for players irrespective of age, gender, religion and ability and Maypole F.C. are honoured to be able to be a part of this vision in a positive and practical way.
